Javier Teresa

Javier Teresa Ojeda was born in 1997 in Madrid, Spain. After three years of his bachelor’s degree, he moved to ECPM(École de Chimie, Polymères et Matériaux) in Strasbourg with a double degree program to complete the last year of his bachelor’s degree and the Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry by UAM. In these two years abroad, he also obtained the Chemical Engineer degree at ECPM and the master in Molecular and Supramolecular Chemistry by the Strasbourg’s University.
As an undergraduate, he spent three months working on the synthesis of azobenzenes and studying it’s photocromic properties under the supervision of Dr. Maria Ribagorda at UAM. His Master thesis was carried out at the Servier Research Institute of Medicinal Chemistry in Budapest under the supervision of Dr. Attila Sápi. His research focused on the synthesis of bioactive molecules for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Currently, he is carrying out his graduate work at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid under the supervision of Dr. Mariola Tortosa.
